Code & Go Activity Nine

This class will cover the following topics:

• Creating original mazes
• Teamwork
• Creating programs to make Colby travel through a maze

Materials needed:

• Green maze grids
• Purple maze walls
• Maze tunnels
• Yellow cheese
• Colby robot

The teacher will explain that the class will now create their own maze design.  The children should understand the objective and be able to use all the pieces that come with the kit.  Once each team has created their maze they must program their mouse robot to complete their maze. There will be several different designs on the floor and now the teacher can have the different teams rotate around the different mazes to see if they can program their robot to complete a maze designed by a different team.  This activity will create more excitement and programming experience.
