ESSK V-Class & V-Camp

Career Opportunities

Are You ESSK Squad Material?

ESSK’s team is made up of educators, creators, tech enthusiasts, parents, and camp professionals. Our dynamic group embraces a culture built around the promise of play and learning in a “camplified” environment. We recognize that play can be a powerful teaching tool, especially when it comes to capturing the imaginations of children. ESSK creates camp, after school, and weekend programs that are fun AND infused with 21st-century skill development of critical thinking, collaborative teamwork, creativity, and adaptability.

Extreme Steam Science Kids (ESSK) has created a virtual Dash program centered around Wonder Workshop’s new Dash Neighborhood simulator.  The program has been developed with a camp feeling and offered to camps and children across the country during this 2020 summer camp season as well as throughout the year. Instructors will follow an ESSK created guided curriculum, teaching children ages 6 to 11 in small classes virtually using Zoom.

School Year Opportunities

An amazing opportunity for you as a teacher is to partner with your school district. As a Business Partner, your district will promote your class offerings. Please review the information below in order to learn how to develop a Business Partnership with your district. Once you are interviewed and hired, please complete the simple steps below.

Steps for Teachers/Instructors to Follow

Here are the simple steps to follow in order to start your business off right. ESSK is here to assist you in growing your own business within our company. If you need any assistance during this process please contact Jennifer at: Jen@extremesteamscience.com

School Connection

Contact your school or a school in your area and inquire about how you can go about marketing your business to the families at your school. Some questions to ask:

  • How can I market to the families at this school?
  • If I have to become a Business Partner how much does that cost?
  • What is included in that price?
  • How many times can I market throughout the school year?
  • Can the marketing be done online rather than flyers?
  • How can we pay the fee? (ESSK will pay the fee if one applies)

ESSK Marketing Page Set Up

ESSK will create your marketing page within our website. All of the interested families will receive a link to your page and they will enroll directly on your page. What we need is the following information:

  • Title of the page
  • Dates and times you want to start marketing for. The after school program is a 5-week program that runs 1.5 hours twice a week. Keep that in mind when you are deciding on the dates you want your session to run.

Social Media Marketing

All marketing has to be approved with ESSK prior to posting. Logos can be provided by ESSK for your use.

  • Facebook
  • Instagram
  • Twitter
  • Linkedin
  • Any other social media

Free Parent Informational Session

This is an option for you to offer the families that are interested in learning more about our virtual program. Together with Jennifer you can create a Zoom for families to log on to hear more about and see the virtual simulator and Snappy XO program. This is a way for parents to learn about what we do at ESSK and the many benefits their child will get from taking this program. If this is something you are interested in, please email Jennifer at Jen@extremesteamscience.com to set up a date and time.

Thank you for your interest in running the Virtual Robotics Program to the families at your school. I am always open to hearing suggestions on how to improve our program. Feel free to contact me with any information you may have. I look forward to working with you.

What Our Instructors are Saying

Being a camp counselor for ESSK has been a truly enriching experience! I love being able to work with kids from all over the country, and sometimes the world, helping them learn and grow. I never expected to connect with the kids so much, and it is always so hard to say goodbye at the end of each session. It is such a rewarding opportunity!

– Taylor Corkle, Tech Teacher at STEM School

Being an instructor for ESSK is the absolute best side gig for me! It was very easy to go through training, and begin leading my first session from the comfort of my own home! I love the flexibility and hours which made it easy for me to fit into my busy schedule. I have enjoyed being a part of the ESSK team, and I am very fond of everyone I have worked with thus far. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing my campers on a consistent basis and was sad whenever each session came to an end. It is incredible how quickly this program allows us to get to know each other, it truly has the camp atmosphere. It is incredible to connect with families across the globe while sparking an interest in computer programming for young children. I highly recommend this position to anyone interested!
